- Dough raising by the pizza delivery experts gives an added boost to school nature reserve project -

Pizza delivery expert, Domino’s Pizza, has been back to school to raise £1,500 for Broadfield Primary School in Hemel Hempstead. The money has been raised for the school’s new nature reserve.

The Domino’s store in Hemel Hempstead made a donation from every order placed for 11 days, raising a total of £1,500 for the nature reserve. The project has been developed by Broadfield School to help its pupils learn more about wildlife and the environment as part of their studies. Funding from the local community was needed to help get the project off the ground and Domino’s Pizza was only too happy to lend a hand.

Matthew Heasman, head teacher at Broadfield Primary School, said: “We are delighted to accept this donation from Domino’s Pizza. The nature reserve is a really exciting project, which will enhance the lives of all 460 children at Broadfield.”

Archie Yasin, franchisee of the Domino’s Hemel Hempstead store, added: “As a local store, we’re very keen to deliver more to our community by getting involved with local schools and groups such as Broadfield Primary. We are delighted to support their nature reserve and hope this money will go a long way to getting the project up and running.”

All Domino’s Pizza stores are charged with delivering more to their local community. This is a programme run by Domino’s head office to encourage all stores to support local charities and events and play an active role in their neighbourhoods.
